The future

So, it appears that we are heading west. Sorry I've not been writing much (for anyone who still visits), it seems to take a bit too much energy to formulate sentences and put my fingers into action. But, today seemed like a good day to try.

We weren't sure what would happen when DH didn't get tenure last year, and while there are lots of things I can't talk about here, one I can is where we are going.

DH got a job at University of Wyoming. We are very excited about the move. The city is nice, it's small (but not too small), and it's located in proximity to some nice larger cities and a well known ski resort town.

Now we just need our house to sell so we can go look for houses for us to buy.

Anyway, it's baseball day -- so I need to go.  Finger's crossed!

Might need an ice cream maker for this one!

I saw this recipe for mint chocolate chip ice cream. This is from the food blog I read of the American Chef who is working in Paris. Even though many of his recipes are also in his books, he still shares the recipe in his blog - showing photos of the process.

Today's recipe (as I mentioned before) is for mint chocolate chip ice cream. BUT, he uses fresh mint rather than extract.

I might have to buy a ice cream maker just for this.
