Wake up, throw your youngest daughter in a coat and boots, and yourself too. Turn on the front porch light (which will shine a little in the master bedroom) and open the door to go outside.
Sydney and I did this this morning when she woke with a croupy cough and I wanted to get her into the cold air to stop it.
When we walked in, DH was standing in the entry way looking really confused.
I explained that the cold was helping Syd's cough and he went back to bed.
Sometimes living in a cold environment is useful!

I have to do this with Pan at least once or twice a winter - it really does do the trick (for a little while.)
