The County Fair (part I)

Today, Sarah and her dad brought her entries to the fair. Sarah has been working hard over the past week or so making her entries for the fair. She is finally old enough to enter the Jr. category and will be competing against kids up to age 13.

First, she drew a picture of our front yard. This was drawn using Crayola Oil Pastel Crayons. I tried to convince her to draw a few drawings, but she said this was perfect and there was no reason to make another. I agree that it was pretty good!! She was so proud of her multi-green grass.
Then, she made some Origami Angel Fish. She even made a tin foil pool to display them in. There are a mommy, daddy, and two kid fish.
Lastly, we made a scrapbook page. She was really hoping to just put the letters wherever she wanted, but I convinced her that we needed to center them and work at making the border consistent around all pictures. This was her design competely, including the idea of one single paper to accent the picture (which was harder then individual bordered pics).

And, for Aunt Melanie - this was a stamping up paper and jump rope sticker, with big letters and summer stickers from Creative Memories and word and month/year stickers bought at Walmart.
Judging happened at 7:00 this evening. I'll update over the weekend on how she faired!
